Biography:

Nargis Fakhri is an American fashion model and actress. She made her acting debut with Bollywood film, Rockstar. Nargis Fakhri started her career as a model, She was a contestant on third cycle of America’s Next Top Model. Now she make a grand entry in the Indian film industry. She made her first film debut in the Bollywood film Rockstar, alongside Ranbir Kapoor which released on November 11, 2011 directed by Imtiaz Ali.

Early Life:
Fakhri was born in Queens, New York to a Pakistani father, Mohammed A. Fakhri and a Czechoslovakian mother, Marie A. Fakhri. Her parents divorced each other when she was barely six or seven years old. Fakhri is a U.S. citizen. When asked about her father’s homeland, she revealed that she has never visited Pakistan. Her favourite hobbies includecooking, meditation and yoga.

Career:
Brown eye’s beautiful girl “Nargis Fakhri” first time appeared on the screen of the “America’s Next Top Model season 2 and 3 in 2004”  in this show she was the third cycle contestant. In 2009 Nargis entered in indian show biz world and soon she was featured in “Kingfisher swimsuit calendar”.

In 2011 she appaered with Ranbir Kapoor in her first bollywood blockbuster and rocking film  “Rockstar” which was released on November 11, 2011 directed by Imtiaz Ali. Nargis has, of course, lapped up the deal. The first film of the deal where she will star opposite  The action comedy incidentally unites Akshay with Himesh Reshammiya on screen for the first time.

‘Akshay had initially planned to cast Telugu superstar Ileana D’Cruz opposite himself in Khiladi 786. However, he has finalised Nargis now. Two more films will follow. Akshay will probably star in both these projects opposite Nargis,’ an industry source said. According to sources, Ileana lost Akshay’s confidence because her presence in Anurag Basu’s Barfee has failed to create much hype.

Now that his erstwhile lucky mascot Katrina Kaif has moved on to signing films with Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar seems to have found new imported inspiration in Nargis Fakhri. The industry is abuzz with talk of how Akshay’s home banner, Hari Om Entertainment, has offered a three-film deal to Nargis, who was not getting any new projects despite a debut in the hit Rockstar, opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 2011.

Trivia:
Her mother is Czech and her father is a Pakistani.
Has a younger sister: Aliya Fakhri.
Fakhri narrowly missed her chance of making it into the America’s Next Top Model house during episode 1 of Cycle 3 (premiere date: September 22, 2004). She was just one month shy from turning 25 at the time. She also auditioned earlier for Cycle 2 (premiere date: January 13, 2004).
Is a fan of Bollywood.
Fakhri was the first girl to be brought back twice on “America’s Next Top Model” (2003) and also the first girl of Pakistani descent in the history of “America’s Next Top Model” (2003).
